1st Update: Its Friday Night, Its a First DevLog ;)


Hello Hello, hope you are having a great Friday Night! This is my first DevLog, so Im quite excited myself :)

While far from complete, this update fixes multiple game-breaking issues and more importantly: modifies the gameplay loop for something more coherent.

Previously the loop mas very annoying, you had to pick things fast BUT not too fast, forcing you to wait it out until the Attention bar dropped down. Now the main goal is to pick everything up as fast as you can. The Attention bar still moves but nothing will happen if you reach its maximum or minimum, the bar will be re-purposed.

Friday Nights will be DevLog day from now on, the next November updates fall the 18th & 25th.
What
to expect from them?

  • A clearer Main Game Mode.
  • A secondary Game Mode.
  • A saveable Time Score.
  • Multiple QoL features and General Polish.
  • Adding more Stuff to pick Up, Items and Interactable things.
  • NPCs? Goodies and Baddies?
  • Fixing Spaghetti Code left from developing the game during a GameJam.


NEWS:

  • Added labels showing Music Track names in the Level Select Screen.
  • Added functionality: By pressing a Music Track Button you'll be setting that SoundTrack to be played during Levels.
  • Re-balanced Audio Volumes for clearer SFX.
  • Added a Level Start animation.
  • Fixed Countdown Timer showing wrong Time.
  • Fixed Countdown Timer ending 1 second earlier.
  • Changing Game Mode modified Timer Label from Countdown to Lap Style.
  • Fixed Floor collisions in levels 1, 2 and 4.
  • Fixed Unpickable Collectables in levels 2, 3 and 4.
  • Fixed Picked Collectables Label not adding the last one after Completing level.
  • Fixed Picked Collectables Label showing wrong amounts at Level Start.
  • Removed Attention Bar reaching max value as a losing condition.
  • Removed Countdown Timer reaching 0 as a losing condition.
